The Six Nations is one of the few major events every UK household can watch live without a subscription.

Who shows what, 2026 to 2029?

Broadcaster Men’s games a year Includes
ITV 10 Every England game; Scotland and Wales v England
BBC 5 Scotland and Wales home games (except v England)
BBC All Women’s Six Nations and the Under-20s

What does it cost?

Nothing beyond the TV licence (£180 a year), on ITV1, ITVX, BBC One, BBC Two and iPlayer.

Why might you still want a paid service?

For rugby the rest of the year: Premiership Rugby is on TNT Sports, and the United Rugby Championship and European competitions are split across pay channels.

Readers also ask

When is the Six Nations?
Each February and March, over five rounds with two rest weekends.
Is the Six Nations on Sky or TNT?
No. Live UK rights stay with ITV and the BBC until 2029. Premier Sports took a non-exclusive game per round in 2026 for its subscribers.
Where can I watch Wales or Scotland away games?
ITV shows the games the BBC does not, so every game is on one of the two free channels.
