Search for “IPTV UK” and half the sellers on the first page show five gold stars, a review count and quotes from “Sarah K., Manchester”. Here is how to read them.
What do fake reviews look like?
- Several five-star reviews posted on the same day or in the same hour
- Reviewers with a single review ever
- Praise with no details: “Best service, amazing, highly recommend”
- No mention of a device, an app, a match or a problem
- Replies from the company that read like adverts
What do real ones look like?
They are specific. “Froze during the Arsenal game on Saturday, support replied on WhatsApp in 20 minutes and moved me to another server” tells you more than fifty five-star posts.
What does the law say?
From 6 April 2025, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 bans businesses from writing or commissioning fake reviews, from hiding negative ones, and from showing reviews without reasonable steps to check they are genuine. The Competition and Markets Authority can fine a business up to 10% of its global turnover.
Why do we show no stars at all?
We are new, and we have no reviews to show yet. When customers leave them, we will link to an independent review site rather than copy quotes onto our pages. Until then, the honest test is the 24-hour free trial on your own TV.
